Personal Information and Concerns
Eighteen mukhi rudraksha represents Bhumi (Earth). The wearer of this rudraksha remains wealthy and free of all diseases. Old scriptures say Earth was born from the sweat of Madhu and Kaitabh, the two powerful demons. It is said that their sweat got dehydrated as a result of the heat of the Sun. Hence, Earth is also known as Medani. As Earth (also called Pith and Avani) offers motherly affection to one and all – be it plants, animals or the matter on it – it is called Avani. One of its greatest virtues is to give pardon to all irrespective of the sins committed. This brings the name Kshamadhatri.
